Ten years ago, entrepreneur Luc Colleye, whom we can rightly call a visionary, decided to launch his business with the help of a single worker, focusing on electric bikes under the brand name Véloélec. His store, entirely dedicated to the sale, maintenance, and repair of electric bicycles, quickly became a key reference in the Liège province. Benefiting from a prime location at a roundabout on Boulevard Pasteur in Seraing, the company reached its peak in 2020, selling over 350 bikes.
On the buyer’s side, 53 Onze, acquired by Eric De Decker and Marie Biot in 2020, already had established stores in Villers-le-Bouillet and Ans. With the acquisition of Locavim, they are expanding their network to three stores. Despite the group’s growth, the new owners are committed to preserving the existing DNA of the business: a human-sized shop where customer service and personal contact remain the top priorities.
We are pleased to have supported Mr. Colleye throughout the entire sale process, from valuation to the successful completion of the transaction. We also wish the buyers all the best in their continued journey in the world of cycling.
